What we do
- Shared platforms and tools that advance member policy goals, including our Storybank and the library of basic-science breakthroughs behind FDA-approved drugs and devices.
- Convening power that brings diverse stakeholders together under Chatham House rules for candid, cross-field discussion.
- Informing policymakers on research funding, scientific advances, and science education.
- Recommending policies that keep the U.S. a leading contributor to global research — CLS drafted and promoted the multi-year limitation provision in the FY26 NIH bill.
